Her house is only a minutes walk from the larger home of her co-wife Pama Kondo. Fatoumata repeats this streetside routine every day except Saturday, when she sells ngome breakfast cakes at the village market. Hungry Planet: What the World Eats (p. 211). /// The Natomo family of Kouakourou, Mali, is one of the thirty families featured, with a weeks worth of food, in the book Hungry Planet: What the World Eats. At the head of the family are Soumana Natomo, 46, and his two wives, Fatoumata Toure, 33 and Pama Kondo, 35. Soumana and Fatoumatas children are daughter Fourou, 12, daughter Fatoumata, 10, son Mama, 8, son Kansy, 4, and daughter Tena, 4 months. Soumana and PamaÕs children are daughter Pai, 18, son Kantie, 16, son Mama, 13, and son Mamadou, 10. Extended family includes Kadia Foune, 33, Soumanas sister-in-law, with her children Mariyam, 8, and Kantie, 1. They are living with the Natomos while Kadias husband works in Ivory Coast.
